Starting at the end of 2021, I was the editorial lead of eigenart Magazine, the student magazine of the University of the Arts Berlin, Europe's largest art university. Financed by the student body and open for all students to submit, I aimed for the paper to be the voice of the students, especially as an independent place for critique and support in the often exclusionary institutional university environment. The highlight for me was collectively editing and publishing a print edition with the editorial team in 2022.

Drawing from a long archive, eigenart has been around since the 90s, and has been online since 2020. eigenart’s 96th issue, HYBID REALITIES, was published online and in print.  Departing from the hybrid online/in-person formats of the university’s courses at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the issue also delved into theories of cultural hybridity, social fractures, and academic accessibility. The issue featured videos, audio recordings, an easy text/large text intro, and articles in German, English, Arabic, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. We printed 400 copies free for the students of UdK at the Umweltdruckerei.
